I am nearly certain that this was our first look at Will
Of course there’s no way to know until we see more, but I have many reasons to believe that this bike and that white adidas shoe belongs to none other than Will Byers.
This was initially laid out in a post by @byrhop which brought this to my attention. In it, she points out that Will wears adidas in seasons one and two. And given how much the Duffers have prattled on about how they are bringing back the tone of season one, it could stand to reason that that would be reflected in the costuming. We already see some of that with how they have styled Mike this season, complete with the same brand of sneakers.
The show seems to roughly try to give it’s characters similar brands across seasons, although this isn’t strict, and multiple characters can wear the same brand as well.
However, from what I can tell, Will is the only character who has worn adidas—
Okay scratch that. However we have already seen Steve’s shoes for the season, which are a pair of red and white Nikes.
Furthermore, this character was riding a bike. Steve drive’s a car, and even given the possibility of it being destroyed in the earthquake, his parents would have the means to get him a new one. You think Steve Harrington is out biking around at night? Whoever is out on their bike at night would definitely be a character who does not have a car of their own.
Let’s take it a step further and zoom into the headlight. Do you see a pair of khaki pants, something befitting of Will’s wardrobe, in the reflection? It looks like their is one leg on the ground and one leg lifted, exactly how the person on the bike would be sitting?
There’s no way yet to confirm if this is Will, but I would be willing to put money on it.
My fave mh moment is in SD when makoto is clearly going through a hard time and is clearly exhausted and can’t get out while they’re in the pool and little haru goes “makoto! D:”
